Developed in the mid-1990s by a Basset Hound breeder, the Minuet was created to combine the distinct look of the Persian with the short-legged trait of the Munchkin. This deliberate pairing resulted in a healthy, distinctively beautiful new breed that officially achieved championship status with TICA in 2016.
